The first Sunday of every month VFW Post 5151 lowers an American Flag, raises a new American Flag and Lowers the Branch of Service flag for a Deceased Veteran. This occurs 52 Sundays a year. There are approximately 94 Veterans on the list.
The ceremony begins at 1:00PM (1300) Sharp and is located at the Hoffman Estates Police Department, 411 W Higgins Rd, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169
Honor Guard participants are asked to show up at the Police Department not later than 1245PM
